I started my fashion career in a division most people don’t see on the runway—protective garments. However, the challenges I faced as a garment technologist are the same ones that exist across the entire fashion industry, from high street to haute couture: sizing inconsistency.

Ensuring cohesive and aligned sizing within a single brand—let alone across the entire industry—has been an ongoing struggle. This issue frustrates customers and leads to waste, lost profits, and environmental impact.

Initially, I set out to solve the problem of online returns. But as I dug deeper, I realised the real issue wasn’t at the point of sale—it was in garment production itself. After years of visiting factory floors and witnessing the disconnect between design and production, I developed TAILR: a platform that provides real-time data, factoring in everything from textile composition to production conditions—even how dyeing processes and washing impact a garment’s final fit.

Recently, we secured €700,000 in funding from Delta Partners, Enterprise Ireland, and Haatch to expand TAILR and help designers, brands, and manufacturers finally solve sizing inconsistency. We’re redefining the future of garment production because fit shouldn’t be a guessing game.
